If you can't find what you need, just call or message me directly.

Boiler Installation
New combi, system and regular boilers sized correctly for your home and installed to manufacturer spec — including flue, filter and controls.
Annual Servicing
A full boiler service that keeps your warranty valid: combustion checks, seals, condensate, pressures and a written report.
Repairs & Fault Finding
Faults diagnosed properly with quality parts fitted — repairs first, replacement only when it genuinely makes sense.
Why use a Gas Safe registered engineer?
Any gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. It's not just the law — it protects your warranty, your home insurance and your family's safety. I register every install properly and issue the right paperwork on the day.
Common boiler faults I fix
Most boiler problems are repairable the same day. Here's what comes up most often in Stockport and Manchester homes.
No ignition / lockout
Boiler tries to fire but shuts down — often a flame-sensing, electrode or gas-supply issue.
Low pressure
Pressure gauge below 1 bar. Usually a leak, failed expansion vessel or passing PRV.
No hot water
Diverter valve or plate heat exchanger fault on a combi — repairable in most cases.
No heating
Could be a pump, valve, thermostat or airlock problem. Diagnosed before any parts are changed.
Frozen condensate
Gurgling then lockout in cold weather. Thawed, re-routed and lagged to stop it recurring.
Kettling / banging
Limescale or sludge in the heat exchanger. Fixed with a proper flush and inhibitor treatment.

Boiler questions, answered
How much does a new boiler cost in Stockport and Manchester?
A straight combi swap typically starts lower than a full system change, because it depends on the boiler type, flue run, pipework changes and any controls upgrades. I carry out a free home survey first, then give you a fixed written price with no hidden extras.
How often should a boiler be serviced?
Once a year. An annual service keeps your boiler safe, efficient and — if it's still under warranty — valid. It's also the best way to catch small problems before they become expensive breakdowns.
What does a boiler service include?
A full service checks the flue, combustion, gas pressures, safety devices, seals, condensate trap, expansion vessel and controls. You get a written service report and honest advice on anything that needs attention.
Should I repair my boiler or replace it?
If your boiler is under 10 years old and the repair is straightforward, fixing it usually makes sense. If it's older, breaking down regularly, inefficient or parts are hard to get, a replacement is often the better long-term investment. I'll talk you through both options honestly.
How long does a boiler installation take?
A simple combi-to-combi swap is usually one day. A system change or moving the boiler location can take two to three days. I'll give you a clear schedule before any work starts.
Why is my boiler losing pressure?
Common causes include a leak on the heating system, a passing pressure relief valve, a failed expansion vessel or recently bled radiators. I pressure-test the system properly to find the real cause rather than just topping it up.
Why is my boiler making noise?
Banging, whistling or gurgling often means kettling from limescale or sludge, a failing pump, or trapped air. A proper powerflush or scale reducer can fix it without needing a new boiler.
Why do I have no hot water or heating?
It could be a faulty diverter valve, thermostat, pump, ignition problem, low pressure or an airlock. I'll diagnose it properly and repair it the same day wherever possible.
What boiler brands do you install?
I install and service all major brands including Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, Glow-worm and more. I'll recommend the right boiler for your home, budget and hot-water needs — not just the one with the biggest margin.
Do you offer emergency boiler repairs?
Yes. I offer 24/7 emergency call-outs for no heating, no hot water, gas leaks and unsafe appliances across Stockport, Manchester and surrounding areas.
